064A Dundalk Appr'tice Optional Claiming Race
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Liffey, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
064C Sunday 12th July Ladies Day H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Cusack, rider of Methgal, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and stated that the first strike was as a corrective measure. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. Cusack was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays. C. Cusack did not avail of the opportunity to be accompanied at this enquiry.
064D Easter Break Racing Wed. 1st April H'capP. McGettigan, rider of Deluca Chop (FR), trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on.
